What Do The Neighbors Think?

When we think of our community impact, we include the neighbors of those we serve.  Very often branches and bushes are hanging over their driveways and on their fences.  For those who have overgrowth flowing over into the sidewalks it impedes pedestrians and their enjoyment of navigating the neighborhood.  We understand the goal of keeping up the curb appeal of properties and we are so very happy to be able to provide the secondary benefit to the neighbors by supporting older adults with these and other challenging tasks.  At this home in South Euclid, we are off to a great start!

Minor Painting

The Door

When you see these results, there is nothing “minor” about it.  Our volunteer Brian took on this project for a CARE Member in Lyndhurst.  Wow!

A Little Bit

A Little Bit goes a long way

With most homes our first yard project includes addressing an array of issues that have accumulated over time.  Just like at this home in Lyndhurst.  There were a variety of bushes, branches and weeds.  What stands out is this small but overgrown bush blocking part of the screened porch.  The homeowner was hoping that we could cut this bush down enough so her son could repair and paint the porch.  We were glad to help!

Window CARE

WINDOW CARE

Who doesn’t enjoy clean windows?  For some older adults and people with disabilities who have a limited view of the outdoors due to mobility challenges, having clean windows can really affect their day.  They may only have access to certain rooms or are unable to stand.  Dirt and grime on windows is  unsightly, blocks sunshine and your clear view of the outside.  Window care has become an increasingly popular service for many of our CARE Members.
