APPLICATIONS
DO VOLUNTEERS PROVIDE ELECTRICAL OR PLUMBING SERVICES?
CARE does not provide electrical, plumbing, mowing, gutter cleaning, snow removal or tasks that require professional services or the use of ladders.
HOW LONG IS A SERVICE DAY?
All service days are for up to two hours not including travel.
ARE BACKGROUND CHECKS REQUIRED?
All Volunteer roles that require entry into the home, or technology assistance requiring access to a device, require a background check at no cost to the volunteer.
DOES CARE PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION?
CARE is unable to provide Transportation for Volunteers.
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT VOLUNTEER
Provides general office assistance including phone, email, data entry, information dissemination and project coordination. Can provide support remotely or onsite at one of our partner sites.
CARE TEAMS
CARE Teams(at least 2 people) are made up of friends, students, co-workers and families who want to work together to complete general Service Day projects.
LEAD VOLUNTEER
Project leader who is the lead volunteer for a service day project.
MEDIA VOLUNTEER
Attends Service Days, trainings and special events to speak with Members and Volunteers, takes digital photographs and organizes the information to share the CARE Impact.
OUTREACH VOLUNTEER
Works with the Program Coordinator to seek out opportunities to share information about CARE. This role includes attending meetings, representing CARE at senior fairs and volunteer recruitment fairs.
SERVICE DAY INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEER
Provides CARE services at Member homes based on their service interests and capabilities.
SPECIAL PROJECTS VOLUNTEER
Works directly with management to assist with one time projects that support the overall initiatives and goals of CARE. Projects may include technology, information and data driven projects, creative design, outreach campaigns, educational projects and more.
SPECIALIZED SERVICE VOLUNTEER
Someone who has a skillset that requires a specific knowledge base. Most often this includes Technology Assistance to provide assistance with computers and devices but it can also include other areas.
TEAM-UP & CLEANUP VOLUNTEER
Available for large projects that need “all hands on deck.” This can include our annual leaf raking, and Team-Up & Clean-Up Projects. This option is most appropriate for Youth Groups, Organizations and Businesses seeking larger scale projects.
