Since 2017 Communities Assisting Residential Elders (CARE)  has been improving the quality of life for Seniors through the coordination and completion of projects in and around their homes. Thanks to our generous funders, volunteers and community partners, CARE  continues to expand it’s reach throughout Northeast Ohio.  CARE Members are homeowners, 60 and older living in any one of our 9 participating communities.

 

CARE VOLUNTEERS SUPPORT THEIR ELDER NEIGHBORS

IT TAKES A COMMUNITY CARE Volunteers have an opportunity to support the beautification of their neigborhoods by supporting their elder neighbors who want to do their part but may need some assistance.  For most CARE Members they have lived in the neighborhood for many years, and are just unable to maintain their yards like they use to and are unable to afford landscapers. Window Cleaning – Why is it such a Popular Service?

WINDOW CARE PROJECTS One of the services that has grown in popularity for CARE Members is window cleaning.  For some older adults and people with disabilities, their mobility around their home is limited.  They may only have access to certain rooms or are unable to stand only allowing them to view the outside from lower windows.  Dirt and grime on windows is not only unsightly, it can cause damage to the glass, block sunlight from …
